Life is undoubtedly MUCH different than before. More on that when I'm ready.
Until then....it's Capital One Bowl Week....doesn't get much better....well, except for the first two weeks of March Madness, when bracketology analysis becomes a religion and even the best of us consider calling in sick, claiming a weird, 2-week-incubating illness. I was scared that something was seriously wrong with Urban....but after finding out he just needs some R&R, I think I should book a ticket to Gainsville and go kiss his face to help him recover....heaven knows I have a huge old-guy-crush on him. I think we're actually supposed to be boyfriend/girlfriend and I'm just waiting for the right moment to tell him.
In other news, anyone else seeing through Ron Artest's pretend fall? (Full story) Honey-child, lots of people get drunk and fall down - let's not pretend like you have some random medical condition. Couldn't have happened to a worse Laker....oh, actually I stand corrected, Kobe (can you hear the chants of "guilty, guilty" in the background?) is still worse than Artest so I guess it could have been a bigger Christmas gift had it been him.
I'm reading a new book...and no, it' s not a business book (to those of you who know me really well - I know this is shocking news). This is the first non-leadership, non-church book I have read in at least a few years so this is ground-breaking to say the least. The only reason I was wiling to give it a shot is because it's an auto-biography and came highly recommended so I was willing to try it....I just can't seem to bring myself back into the world of fiction. Anyway, it's called "Odd Man Out" and so far I am enjoying it....if you're a baseball fan, I would recommend it (although I can't vouch for the whole thing yet so don't rush to Amazon for the purchase just yet).I know my blog isn't pretty to look at yet, but it will take time to rebuild it and add features, etc. Plus, life is busy and random (hence the blog title) so it may take awhile. Until then, be patient and happy Monday!
Happy Monday it is, because it is over. Now this whole Brett thing is a sensistive issue with this girl. I am a HUGE and I mean HUGE Packers fan. I was crushed when Brett retired, more crushed when he returned, and hate became my passion for that man when he went to the Vikings. I have a life size cut out of him, that's how obsessed I WAS with him. I however, now, every game cheer against him, so the power struggle and the fact they have lost 3 out of the last 4 games is a beautiful thing in my eyes. I feel same way about him as you do Urban Meyer. I'm just waiting for him to officially retire so that I can like him again. Or obsess over him again Go Pack Go!
ReplyDeleteAlso I have been quite unappetized by the bowl games thus far, except for last night's BG and Idaho game was impressive. All the good games start tonight until next week. I'm glad that we share the same enthusiasm for sports. I like the new blog and I look forward to reading it. I will retire your old blog and maybe one day I will come out of retirement and become a Viking and update my blog as well. Enjoy your New Years and FYI you look darling in all of your pictures at Christmas. I am at work so I best be going. Peace Out!
