Painting the Forth Bridge

I think my life is truly a metaphor for painting the Forth Rail Bridge (and I know this isn't the first time I've been on this rant)....

I spent literally the entire day cleaning, doing laundry, working on email, and gardening. If you looked at my house, garden, laundry room, or email inbox, would you be able to tell I spent an entire day on these tasks? No.

- House is still not as clean as I would prefer, although a little better.
- Garden still has weeds and is not as tidy as I would prefer, although a little better - and the lawn is mowed.
- Laundry room is still not empty, but all of the wash is finished so now it's just on to ironing.
- My inbox still has over 150 emails that have not received responses (do you think some people feel they have been ignored? Likely so.), but it's MUCH better than when I started the day.

So I guess I should be pleased with the progress (and the fridge is finally full of food since I also made time for a grocery store run), but holy cow, I wish I had made more progress today.

On the brighter side.....I did visit Nordstrom's for the MAC for the semi-annual anniversary sale (the pre-sale is going on now). You can get double Nordstrom's points on all purchases so they were practically begging me to order new shadows for the anniversary sale - hurry in now if you're interested! I don't know how I will live without the new eyeshadow shades until I can pick them up (when the sale officially starts on the 16th)....it will be a long wait, but well worth it! :)
