My program is sponsoring a cardiovascular surgery conference this morning and one of the physicians joked that he installs these types of hearts.....which is obviously from "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2". I started laughing....as he was clearly kidding...but there were only a few of us laughing. Other people are nodding affirmatively and appear to be taking notes as though he is serious...What? Come on people. You're healthcare professionals - I expect you to be smart enough to know the difference between an artificial heart and "Iron Man"!! I'm not sure if I am offended you aren't listening to the education - or if I am scared that you might be considering this as legit.
Oh dear.
