Another one bites the dust

As if I could number them, here's one more reason I love Chad...

....he is always up for a fun time. :)

I was doing things around my house this morning, while he spent time with his kids.  Then the following:
Chad: Let's go get some lunch!
Sarah: Sounds great!  Can we buy some wood to build stilts on our way home?
Chad: Sure. We're hungry - let's go.

There are some who might question my stilts, but instead when I got in the car Chad calmly asked, "So we're making stilts today?" :)

You bet.

Drilling the foot pegs....
Sawing the sticks (which apparently Chad calls "lumber").  "Sticks" works fine for me.
Utilizing the ping-pong table to hold the washers and bolts.
Again, using the ping-pong table - this time for some allegedly careful measuring.
The safety goggles stayed safely hanging on their hook through the entire process of utilizing two power tools, despite my continuous insistence.  Good to know we have them in case the wood-worker ever chooses to be safe.

And then finally.....stilt time!  This was about 17 seconds after I told him "they aren't tall enough" - and then climbed on.  This photo adequately captures the thoughts going through my head of, "Holy cow, I can't look scared - and I can't tell him theses are PLENTY tall enough.  Look cool".  It also captures the thoughts going through his head of, "Yep, I was right; these are too tall".  Awesome moment.

With his sweet help holding on like training wheels, I walked around the driveway, enjoying my new toy. :)  Stilts are much more challenging that I anticipated - who knew?!

What a fun day.  The kids tried them as well, but none of us seemed to be proficient stilt-walkers.  Despite this, we had a great time!  And - one more item off the "30 Before 30 list"!
