A small catch up

Again, blogging dud. So, here's a quick catch up and then I'll do more later - including a Thankful Thursday post tonight.

The Good

• Attended a caramel-apple making cooking class with a dear friend and had SO much fun...plus the product was delicious.

• My dad was asked to ref at a Jazz intersquad/pre-season promotional activity on Saturday so we went to watch him and it was so cool. I took tons of pics, but this is my favorite with both my dad and D-Will in the frame! :)
• My new niece will be born sometime in the next 3 weeks!! Despite Jake's loathing of the NYY, I see a little Yankees onesie in her future....hahaha. After their comeback last night, I think it's only fitting - Go Yanks!
• General Conference. Enough said.
• Saw the Facebook movie and I actually really liked it. I am not on Facebook, but it was interesting to see the progression of this technology.
  

The Bad

• I am so far behind on everything at work that I literally started weeping on my way to work today. It just piles on more and more every day and I can't seem to get on top of everything. The hardest part is when you know you're giving it your very best and yet still receive phone calls and emails from people that are upset about the various projects that are behind schedule. Yes, I know they are behind....no, I can't magically make it better. It's so discouraging.
• I dropped my favorite lip gloss in the driveway on accident on Tuesday night in the dark and then backed over it Wednesday morning - so there's now a big sticky mess and I am sans my most favorite beauty product. I am hoping the rain storm they are predicting today is a big one! And I am going bonkers without the lip gloss....funny how you have a favorite product...I will be restocking at the mall on Saturday!

The Surprising

• I had sushi last night! As a person with a major aversion to seafood, this was huge for me. I have a friend who often pushes my limits with food (since apparently he believes I am a picky eater...?) so he decided it was time for sushi. Although I did it, I truthfully didn't enjoy it so I am kinda hoping he doesn't try again. Honestly, who says to themselves, "You know what would be delicious for dinner - eel, uncooked tuna, and soft-shell crab?". Doubtful - pretty sure it's just a status thing.
• It's the 7th of October and I still haven't made a pumpkin pie yet. Shocking! That is a demonstration of how busy life has been. I need to get on that because it's time for pumpkin pie.
