My mom was super nervous about every detail and stressed a great deal for at least a month in advance, but it was in vain because she did a terrific job and I was very proud of her. We don't have average dinner parties where I come from; it is not a meal, dinner parties are considered an event - so Thanksgiving was even more escalated than usual. I loved it!
The only thing that would have made it better would have been Jake, Jaimi, and Baby joining us, but of course Baby is still too small to travel so they stayed in Seattle. Perhaps next time guys....
The next day brought on Black Friday - and don't worry peeps, I tried to stimulate the economy for all of us. I think I was single-handedly trying to bring us out of the recession! All kidding aside, I had a wonderful time shopping with my mom and made tremendous progress in my Christmas shopping. I am determined to finish up this year before I reach the panicky-buy-anything phase!
Saturday included lunch with a few dear old friends and then the Holy War! In an effort to spare my BYU friends, I will simply say, it was a great game....and GO UTES!
I am grateful for the weekend with family and friends to recognize how blessed I am and the many wonderful people God has sent into my life. Thank you for each of you!
