Catching up - The public good-bye post

As I mentioned in an earlier post, my good-bye with my sweet grandpa was private and just between us.  But, as socially expected, we celebrated his life publicly with family, friends, neighbors, etc.

My family - from left to right, Baby Diva, Jaimi, Jake, Dad, Mom, and yours truly

It was a beautiful (and quite warm) day with plenty of sunshine - and seemed like it was a good sign that everything would be okay.  Somehow I imagine that funerals on a cold, rainy day seem even more sad, so this was a little mitzvah in my mind.

I like this picture with my darling Mom.  She is such a doll and I love her.

Unfortunately my camera ran out of batteries after these few pictures so my photos to document the day are sparse, but I am certain I won't forget it anyway so capturing these moments on camera didn't seem necessary.  Thank you to all of the friends and family that provided love and support to me and our family as this transition in our lives occurred.

  1. You and Dana look stunning in that picture. Glad the sun was shining as you said your goodbyes to good ol' Grandpa Sowb.
