Photo recap

I emptied my camera today so now I am ready to write about the various events of the past few days. Here goes....

Thursday

I am the chair of the Utah Hydrocephalus Walk on September 18th at Wheeler Farm so on Thursday evening we had a kick-off to celebrate and get people signed up (and excited!). It was a really small turnout, but it was fun. Here are a few pics:

This is Dr. Pat McAllister (head of research for PCMC regarding hydrocephalus), talking about the current research going on in his lab)A few participants + a neurosurgeon here from Moscow (in the yellow), here for 2 weeks to understand the research Dr. McAllister is doing and to set up sister-projects for research in Russia. Very cool - and hopefully will yield some results for progress regarding hydrocephalus in the future.
Me, shutting down the registration computers at the end of a long dayNo pressure.....but.....

Friday On my Mom's birthday, my Dad decided to play in a night golfing tournament in Beaver with my adopted brother Casey (I know, this sounds random)....hey, golf is a serious sport in our family! :) So my Mom and I decided while he was golfing, we would continue the drive to Cedar so we could spend time with Cori and Chandler for the evening. They truly are like a little extension of our family. Here's when we dropped him off for golf. (Casey is in the red hat - my Dad is on the far right). We finished our drive to Cedar, went out for delicious food with Cori and Chandler, ate delicious birthday cupcakes courtesy of Cori and Chandler, and then watched one of Chandler's favorites, Toy Story. (the boys finally got home about 2:30 a.m.)

Saturday
On Saturday morning, we all slowly got up, as it had been a late night, and then went out for a great breakfast at a little cafe on Main Street in Cedar. It was quaint and a fun way to spent Saturday morning. We went back to the McClellan's to watch Chandler and my Dad play silly games (and practice whistling - Chandler's latest fetish), and then started home. It was a fantastic 24 hours.
Oh, and gotta love the NYY!

After we arrived home, I quickly hopped in my car and hurried up to Heber City to join a BBQ and outdoor campfire with friends. I had a great time - delicious food (including roasted mallows....yum!), great company, and the perfect weather. Great evening!

Sunday
Tonight was my Mom's birthday celebration with my Dad's side of the family. We had a great time - and also enjoyed watching the YANKEES beat the Red Sox + the Cowboys manhandle the Bengals. It was the perfect sporting night for me! I forgot to get my camera out until I was leaving to to all of my family members that are not shown in these photos, I love you and I am sorry I missed you. With my folks - and yes, that is a NYY tattoo on my face. Between my hat and my tat, my father was basically beside himself. My entire family hates the Yankees and loves the BoSox so the night started out with quite a bit of teasing and bantering, but then mysteriously it went almost silent after the 5th inning....GO YANKEES!
Auntie Pam & Uncle TyI received this delightful surprise on the sideview mirror of my car during the party....to the hot chick that put it there - I know who you are and I think you are a rockstar! ;) Thanks gal! hahaha
What a catch up! Happy Monday!
