A dud blogger lately

So I have been a notably dud-ish blogger lately, but there's simply been a lot going on - some I would share if I had time.....and some I wouldn't share no matter how much time I had.

I am going to be better - starting tomorrow. This week included a work event at Snowbird starting on Tuesday morning - I drove home Friday afternoon because we had another event in the city on Saturday morning. Being away from home adds such a kink in my normal routine....I recognize what a creature of habit I am when I'm removed from my natural situation.

A few quick highlights from the week.....
- Totally submerged the keyboard and harddrive of my laptop in water...because I was working while soaking in the bathtub at Snowbird late Wednesday night and the d*mn thing slipped in. Fortunately I hopped out and started blow drying it immediately (and cursing at myself and praying for a miracle - almost simultaneously).....which seems to have saved it. My IS team did some doctoring on it and it is still ticking now. Seriously folks, I am a now going to be a spokesperson for Lenovo laptops!

- Ate Indian food for the first time (can't remember the names of the dishes), including naan bread (garlic and plain), chicken in tomato curry, lamb in a creamy sauce, and some kind of delicious mango drink. I thought I would be hitting Crown Burger on my way home from the restaurant, but actually enjoyed it immensely. Who knew?!

- Finally saw "Blindside" and loved it. What's better than a chick whose wardrobe I want to emulate and an almost constant football theme? Oh, and the element of the story including a family demonstrating the pure love of Christ for another human wasn't too shabby either! ;)

- My purple crocus bloomed and I have a few daffodils forming. Pictures to follow soon....I am so thrilled with them. So far the tulips are just green stalks and leaves so I'm hoping for better progress with them this week. My indoor plant babies are doing well....pics to follow for those soon as well.

- Successfully finished a highly stressful meeting on Saturday (the stress was due to a variety of corporate political situations). After it was over, I sat in the LDSH Auditorium and quietly sighed to myself for awhile, simply grateful for the silence. Isn't it amazing how the dynamics of a situation can almost literally tie you in knots?

So, those are the highlights for this week that I can think of right now. More to come later...

  1. Hey Sarah! I can't wait to see pictures of your crocus and daffodils. I wish I had a garden, I'm totally jealous. I loved Blindside too, and I'm glad for you that your meeting is over! Have a great week!!!
