- Drafted my Fantasy Baseball team, the Puppet Masters. There's a long ridiculous story associated with this name - but nonetheless, I named my team in its honor. My team includes Price Fielder, Matt Halliday, Chris Carpenter, Josh Johnson, and Brandon Phillips (and then a bunch of lesser knowns). If you don't know/like the MLB, this is the part where you can ooh and aah because you are impressed with my team! I was in a fierce bidding war over Albert Puljos, but eventually bailed out because he went for a lot in our draft. Btw, for those noticing a trend, we only included National League players so all Red Sox, Yankees, etc were out. It's too bad because I would have paid almost anything to have Jacoby Ellsbury on my team....yummy.... :)- A girl selling magazines came to my house yesterday and came inside on accident (long story - but trust me, she was not invited). She proceeded to ask me a slew of ridiculous non-magazine-related questions about if I lived alone, what I did for a living, etc. I was not comfortable with her (or her filthy nose ring) being in my living room but couldn't get her to leave. She was finally so brazen as to ask directly for money because I kept turning down her stupid magazines. I explained to her I get Sports Illustrated, ESPN, and Ensign (a church magazine), which is plenty. When she wouldn't leave despite multiple requests, I finally got upset and it's possible I yelled at her to leave (okay, not just possible - it actually happened)....which I would normally feel bad about but she had parked it on my couch for 20 minutes (!) and I felt like she was casing my house to break in. I was super upset.
- I tried to garden yesterday, as the sun was shining and it looked beautiful outside....except then I got out there and it was still frigid. Alas, still no digging in the dirt. So of course my plant babies are loving their home inside.
- I went to 2 baby showers, both for dear friends - one from high school, one more recently. I didn't take my camera to either one (because I am not smart), so no pictures, but just a quick shout out to each of them. I love you Megan and Libby. You both looked great and I am super excited to see your new babies! I have another baby shower next week as well. I think something's in the water.....
- Had Thai food yesterday for the first time. It was delicious. Maybe it's weird I've lived this long without it, but I highly recommend it and hope to get more soon. Pad see ew, pad thai, curry with sticky rice....yum. Oh, and of course, mango on black sticky rice with coconut milk. Tasty.
- March Madness. There's too much to say so we'll leave it there. Oh, what a delight! I love a good game - especially if it's a good upset!
- I have a super crazy week planned. It will be one of those weeks where I know I will blink and it will be Sunday again. I think I may check on having an IV set up so I don't need to waste time eating.
