The Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival was a much bigger event than I originally anticipated - and even more fun than we expected. It ended on Saturday so no more opportunities to go this year, but I highly recommend it next year for anyone considering it. I purchased a Thanksgiving Point membership for $55/year so I was able to enter for free and bring a guest for half off ($5), so it was also an amazingly good deal. There were musicians playing by the waterfall, vendors selling food, jewelry, toys, bags, etc - similar to a very small Swiss Days (in Midway over Labor Day weekend for those who know what I am talking about). The actual garden is huge so you wander around for many hours...or rent a golf cart! That sounded like a lot of fun, but they were all rented out + we wanted some sunshine so we walked all over.
After the Tulip Festival is over, the gardeners will cut off all of the plants and sell the bulbs for $3/dozen (which is a great price, if you don't know much about bulb pricing). So, I am hoping to get back down there very soon for bulbs to decorate my garden next year.
In the mean time, Mom, I love you very much and
it was wonderful to enjoy a few hours together.
Happy Mother's Day!

I <3 Tulips!!!
