Last week I participated in the Leadership Institute with the Alliance for Continuing Education for Healthcare Professionals in Baltimore, Maryland - which was a great experience. Equally exciting, I was able to visit another stadium on my list, which makes me one step closer to my goal of visiting all MLB stadiums!
Welcome to Oriole Park at Camden Yards!
The Orioles Hall of Fame
A picture of the field from center - so pretty.
They have great statues in the stadium of their greats, and they are really neat to see up close.
They were giving away hats (perfect - I fit in!) and I made a friend in the seat next to me. :)
The view from my seat once the sun went down. Row 3, right down the left foul line. So much fun!
Then I made friends the other person sitting beside me. And yes, it was blindingly hot, so don't judge how terrible I look. It was SO hot and muggy.
Me with the great Frank Robinson statue - legend! (He spent 19 seasons with the Orioles as a player, coach, manager, and assistant general manager.)
There was an anime conference going on in the convention center next door to my hotel so it was full of these kind of people. It was like Comicon only better. I was delighted with their costumes....not every day do you see literally thousands of strangers walking around like this. Awesome.
Overall it was a great trip and a good educational experience, but glad to be home.
