Hard-core rock chick

So last night I pretended to be a hard-core rock chick and it was a blast! I went on a date with a great person I adore and after dinner we were trying to decide what to do when he received a message from a friend about a random CD release party at Club Vegas downtown. Neither of us had ever been to Club Vegas, but in honor of the CD release party, they were having "hard rock night" or something like that. We decided to quickly change clothes to fit the part and hit the town.....holy cow, we had a blast!

He had an old Harley Davidson shirt, a black Harley bandana, clunky black boots, and old jeans. I wore a Harley shirt I have that is a t-shirt with tattoo-sleeves (so it looks like my arms are covered completely in tats all the way down), tight jeans and super tall spiky black heels. I used my black eyeshadow to punk out my eyes and we were off to check out the CD release party for SeventKing. Seriously.....two total business people gone freak-show style and praying we didn't bump into anyone we know, but laughing the whole time. :)

I also had to smile when the girl at the door carded me. I didn't bring my wallet - so I didn't have my driver's license and she was trying to decide if she could let me in. I wanted to say, "I'm flattered you think I look too young to be here, but really, let's not kid ourselves". After a minute, she decided that I DID in fact look old enough to be in a bar (hello!) and let us in.

I wish I had pics because it was hilarious, but I didn't take my phone. The people-watching was amazing and worth the entertainment value - never mind that I'm sure we stuck out as the only people in the bar without alcohol. lol. I couldn't help but chuckle as we were watching these people from 25-50 years old trying to pretend to drunkenly start a mosh pit, head bang, play air guitars with the band, and scream "Rock on, man".

Totally random activity, but a funny date. I smelled horrible and my ears were ringing for many hours after, but it was worth it. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!
