The date update

So I ran out of time this week to blog about my dates from last weekend but it was so out-of-the-norm that I had to go back....

While I was in St. George a few weeks ago, I met a rep from one of the vendors from San Francisco. Nice boy, but lives far away so we chatted for awhile one morning but I didn't think much about it. He kept calling and texting the next few days but again, I didn't give it much thought because he's in California.

Then a few days later, he called to "ask me out". When I pointed out it was geographically difficult, he told me had booked a flight to SLC to see me in 2 weeks and bought concert tickets to Sugarland (because we were talking about how much we both loved them). Needless to say, I was shocked....and a little unnerved. So, we kept chatting in the interim so I knew more than just his name and musical preference when he got off the plane.

He arrived last Friday afternoon so I picked him up at the airport, we went to dinner, the Sugarland concert (which was one of my most favorite concerts ever....I absolutely love their music), and then I took him back to his hotel. The next morning we got up and had breakfast at Market Street downtown, went to get pedicures together (I needed one and told him he could just sit beside me, but he said he would try it out....hahaha, I am such an inconsiderate date!), drove up to Park City to walk Main Street and see Olympic sites, and then I took him back to their airport for his flight home. What a crazy 27 hours!

To be honest, I still can't believe it occurred. It was so random and unexpected and unusual.

While I was driving home after leaving the SF boy at his hotel on Friday night, a friend of mine texted me about going out for dinner and a movie Saturday night so I made plans to meet him once I dropped off the other boy at the airport. :)

So on Saturday evening, I went to see "Iron Man 2" and have dinner with a dear friend and his children. We had a great time and then went back to his house to catch the end of the Jazz debacle (it doesn't count as a game when you lose in such a terrible way). We played games and ate treats and it was delightful.

The update on the SF boy is that now he thinks I should head his direction for Memorial Day....whoops, not going to happen....sorry buster!
