This is for the birds....
I visited 4 different car dealerships today. Tried a bunch of cars. No closer on my decision. I just didn't see anything that said, "Sarah, you want to drive me". Mostly I saw, "Sarah, you could drive this, but you know you don't really care".
What a waste of my time - especially when I already feel so totally swamped and pressed for time. Grr.
But, good news, I officially sold my car today.....to Alex. :) How ironic, right? Is it okay to do business transactions with your former spouse? Apparently so. I told him recently I was thinking about buying a new car and he called me a few days later to say he was interested in my car. So last night he came over to "test drive and check it out" (since he hasn't driven my car in 7 months), decided he wanted it, we negotiated a price (which was surprising not awkward), and he is now waiting for me to pick out a new car before he comes to get mine.
I really need a decision here. I am almost to the "Dad, just pick one for me" phase. How adult is that?! Yeah, apparently I haven't grown up much in the last 9 years since I bought the Jetta. Lame Sarah.
I will totally help with this one, and others will too, but we need some more info. What characteristics in a car have you come to realize that you need?
ReplyDeleteSUV?
Car?
Room for kids?
4-wheel drive?
I will tell you that I liked driving my Trailblazer, I just missed the large center console and some other tricked out options of the Tahoe I drove before that. This time, before buying the Commander, we looked at several SUVs. The new 4-Runners are awesome!
I love car shopping! If you need someone to go, I'm there. I've been thinking about trading in the Camry, shush, don't tell Mike! :) Jake is right, you've got to figure out what it is that you need out of your car first. Then your choice will become easier.
ReplyDeleteOh I cannot wait to see what you come up with. Good Luck!
