It is certainly obvious that 95% of my blog is silliness. It is pure and simple non-sensical on-the-spot documenting my comings and goings, but somehow provides (1) an outlet for me to get thoughts out of my head, (2) share pieces of my life with others, and (3) keep a written record.
So, the fact that this post is of a religious nature will likely scare some of you....I can think of about some of you who normally read what I'm writing and then send me notes later about what you thought, but definitely do not share my same religious beliefs. I can imagine you reading this post with your eyebrows raised, inquisitive look on your face, and thoughts running through your head along lines of, "I hope this is the last post of its kind". ;) (you know who are - and so do I....hahaha)
While reading from the Book of Mormon yesterday (which I believe is scripture representing another testament of Jesus Christ), I came across a quote I had written in the margins stating, "Keeping journals is a latter-day imperative.....the angels may quote from it someday". I read the corresponding verses associated with my note, stating the following (not included in their entirety here):
3: ...we labor diligently to engraven these words upon plates, hoping that our beloved brethren and our children will receive them with thankful hearts, and look up on them that they may learn with joy....
4: For, for this intent have we written these things, that they may know that we knew of Christ....
Obviously, the blog is a record of my life, but (as mentioned) fairly trivial for most posts.
However, it is still a piece of my written history and someday I believe it will be read by my posterity - if I am so blessed. And based on the scriptures above, it is for this purpose and these people that I am including this post.
As stated in the scriptures mentioned above, I want to be sure those reading this in the future know that I know of Christ. That He lives. That He is our Savior, our Redeemer, and through Him, all mankind will be saved. That He understands not only our greatest victories and joys, but also our greatest weaknesses and sorrows.
I have known these truths for so long that I tend to be casual about them....I mistake them as commonplace or something that "everyone knows", but I want to be explicitly clear so that under no uncertain circumstances, if I could give my future posterity one gift, it would be to have the knowledge that He atoned for our sins and sorrows equally.
There's undeniably much more that could be said, but suffice it to say for now that I know of Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.
...a random collection of my life, thoughts, and general crazy - in my own unusual way...

"For this intent have we written these things"
