So I decided it's time for a new car....well, likely not brand new because that stresses me out (inevitably I would find a way to muck it up the first day), but new for me. Likely a newly returned lease or something like that.
There are my parameters...
- SUV: sorry environment. I'm a chick that panics in snow, living in the Rockies. Oh, and hauling syallbi, laptop bags, and other junk to educational events too often so the trunk of car is insufficient for my needs.
- Probably don't want to spend more than $25k
- 2008 or newer.
- Can't be too boy-ish. Yep, that's a word.
- I can't stand SUVs that look too much like a gym shoe. Do you know what I mean? There are some that look like high-top sneakers on wheels. Hate it.
- Can't be a rough SUV, i.e. luxury is essential, despite the fact that it's not a sedan. I refuse to drive something that could be mistaken for a buckboard.
Oh, and strangely enough, this is one kind of shopping I detest. I am usually the first one to vote "yes" on going shopping for anything, however, this rule doesn't apply to cars. It is one of my least favorite activities. On second thought, when I consider how much I hate it, I am kinda considering just sending my dad and telling him to bring home a surprise (which is honestly how I got my Jetta in college - never saw it prior to purchasing because my dad took care of everything). That might work better...I am so annoyed by the car-buying process.....we'll see what happens next....
Suggestions?
