A few things that made me honestly say, "Really?" today....
- Interviewed a guy who whilst in the interview was talking about "needy customers" and said they are "special"....then under his breath added "special ed" and started laughing. WHAT? For a split second, the disabled, "special ed" side of me almost reached over to squeeze the air out of his throat.
- A friend of mine from work is moving to Iowa and I was standing nearby when she told one of our vendors today. His response was "Why would anyone move to Iowa?". How rude. Again, I thought about performing a violent action because I thought he was so discourteous. It's called 'social grace' son, try it out.
- Interviewed a girl today who left her tongue piercing in during the interview. Not a small, clear stud, but instead a larger, bling-type rod that definitely impacted her speech. If someone said, "You'll be interviewing on the 16th floor of the Intermountain Healthcare corporate office", wouldn't you think, "hey, maybe my tongue piercing isn't endearing here". Take it out gal. I'm not impressed.
People are so unusual sometimes.
Good thing mine tongue piercing is so small you can't notice :) some peoples kids huh. Honestly, i could give you a few instances as well that make me say more words than just "really?" so to keep me from getting fired I'll keep those wonderful thoughts and feelings to myself. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
