I am doing Thankful Thursday on Wednesday again since tomorrow night is the first game of the NBA Finals and if the Lakers win, I probably won't be able to think of much I am grateful for.....hate that Kobe Bryant....
Anyway, here goes for Thankful Thursday on Wednesday, June 2:
- My parents. I know I have said it at least a dozen times on my blog, but I have such incredible parents. They are the most service-oriented people I know and I hope I can be more like them.
- My darling brother and sister-in-law. This pregnancy has been challenging and yet they are rolling with smiles on their faces, despite the adversity faced. I have so much to learn from them.
- The group of individuals that makes up my extended family that all represent very unique perspectives, but I love their individuality. We are all so different, but together make an awesome blend of family.
- My dear friend, who (when I needed it most) whisked me away for a day last weekend to help me forget the things here driving me crazy. I had such a wonderful day leaving it all behind and just enjoying the moment.
- Work. I know it seems counter-intuitive when I am feeling so overwhelmed, but I absolutely adore my job. I know, sounds lame, but it's true.
- My garden babies. They make me smile. And now that we're getting more sunshine, they seem like happy garden babies.
- The Sports Illustrated email updates. What a welcome sight in my inbox.....helps me get through from Friday to Friday because I know an email update will pop up in the middle of the week.
- The wedding invitation I received today for a friend of mine.....and she will be getting married in the temple. I am so happy for her and grateful she has this wonderful opportunity.
- The Bible Dictionary. My mom and I were having a discussion about a particular topic and I was able to "win" based on what I had recently read in the Bible Dictionary. Thank heaven I had read it and could remember it so I could be right.....perhaps it's a bad sign I'm so competitive?!
- Pace's grape popsicles.
Happy Thursday.
Fun list! I think everyone should do that. I know I'm going to, thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteSo, we actually know that Jake and his wife are here...Sam's been talking to him. We haven't gotten together yet, but I hope we do!!
