A shower and a festival

My Saturday started by celebrating TK & Jaree's wedding with a bridal shower in my backyard....and it must be noted that is was warm. After months of spring-like weather in Salt Lake, this week we have finally hit summertime and it was warm. Fortunately it was a brunch shower so it wasn't the absolute heat of the day!

Nonetheless, here are a few pics......
Food set up and display
A close-up of the fruit pizzas on sugar-cookie crusts with cream cheese sauce and a citrus glaze

The bride opening gifts

The Wright sisters (respectively Taylor and Allred girls now) and my mom

The party favors....the colors were bright pink and lime green

I started out wearing one outfit and then ended up with fruit pizza down the front of my shirt (hello dumb chick!) so I had the opportunity to put on my own fashion show by putting on a second outfit at the shower. This was the first set of clothing - with my aunt Karen.

Still in the original outfit....with my cute mom and grandma

In the evening, I went with a dear friend to the Utah Arts Festival and we had a great time - mostly people watching. I was trying to get a picture of this girl....when we were closer, we realized that we could see her tampon string hanging out because her shorts were so short...not kidding. It was unbelievable. Tried to get a better pic but none did the full ensemble justice. Killer ankle boots too. Holy moly.

Look at this cool metal sculpture of a a guy shooting an arrow! It was amazing.

We also heard Peter Brienholt singing - he went to my high school and is a great local artist. How fun!Overall, a great weekend, but I am exhausted. I didn't get nearly enough work done - perhaps that's a step in the right direction.....? :)
