Alex and I both loved to collect movies and games....although I never seem to have time to watch or play. (note to self - rebalance life) Oh, and of course Alex was the manager of a Media Play for awhile while we were dating (anyone remember those stores?!) so we got 40% off all games, books, movies, and music....you can see where this is going....we have a ridiculous amount of entertainment stuff to divide up.
For example, some people have a "few" board games....no, the Whitbeck home had 6 versions of "Scene It" and 5 versions of "Monopoly". Not kidding. And that barely scratched the surface.
So tonight we decided to set out on a first round of dividing games and movies. 3 hours later, we had finished the games and reached conclusions for about half of the movies....the living room looked like Amazon had vomited all over.
Of course my Type A, bossy self kicked in and I wanted to categorize everything (and would have loved color-coding it too if I could think of a reason). We determined a way to compromise when a at an impasse and set out along the journey.
While I would not classify this as a "fun" project, it did remind me about a variety of movies that I own I had forgotten about but really like.....next step, carve out some personal time to watch a few....
Now I know where to come "rent" a movie or two.
